With many of our members having big races coming up in 2024, and others simply wanting to improve their fitness or lower their parkrun times, we wanted to offer you something a little bit different in addition to our regular Wednesday running club sessions.That’s why from the start of February, we will be holding weekly Sunday Sessions. The aim will be to start at 9am each week, and hold the sessions at a variety of locations around the county. We will publish details of where the runs will take place and what the format will be on Facebook ahead of each session.As ever, our runs will cater for all abilities and paces, with no Stepper left behind. The idea is to give distance options to runners by looping the runs, so the first loop will be – for example – 5km, then there will be a second loop for those wanting to complete an intermediate distance, and a final loop for those wanting to do long runs. That means we will be able to both run together as a group and complete whichever distance you want.Many of you have big – long! – races coming up, so we will also be looking to increase the distance on longer runs to help you with your training.Craig will be leading the sessions, but Michelle is likely to attend as well, and the aim is to have fun, chatty runs in cool places while offering those who want to challenge themselves the chance to do so.These sessions are only open to Step Forward With Lewis Running Club members.
