Back by popular demand – and, this time, with medals.

The Project 16:15 Charity Run will be returning in 2024 with the goal of raising more vital funds to support rough sleepers on the streets of Northampton.

Last year’s inaugural event saw runners raise more than £1,000 for Project 16:15 – vital money which made a huge difference to the lives of rough sleepers in the town.

This year, the event will return on Saturday, March 23 between 8am and 2pm. Once again, it will last six hours, with people running for as little or as much of that time as they want.

It will cost just £10 to enter with every penny raised going to the charity. In return, entrants will get a Project 16:15 Charity Run medal – regardless of how far they’ve run on the day.

Alternatively, people can fundraise. Anyone who raises at least £20 will not have to pay for entry and will automatically get a medal for the event.

There is a generic Project 16:15 Charity Run 2024 JustGiving page which can people can donate to directly or pay their £10 entry into to (please indicate whether your payment is an entry fee). It can be found at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/fun-run2024Alternatively, if you want to start fundraising yourself, you can create your own fundraising page by clicking on the orange ‘Start Fundrasing’ tab on that main page. Your fundraising page will then be linked to the main page.If people want to set up their own pages then that would also be also be amazing.

Timings for the 16:15 Charity Run will again overlap with parkrun with anyone who takes part in that event eligible to claim entry to the Project 16:15 Charity Run (as long as they either pay their £10 entry fee or raise at least £20 through fundraising).

There will be an aid station with food and drinks provided by Project 16:15.

The 16:15 Charity Run will not be a race, and there will be no winner. Instead, it will be a chance to run with friends, chat and think about those who are less fortunate than we are.

Step Forward With Lewis is proud to once again be helping to run this vital event in partnership with Project 16:15 and the Running Tales Podcast.

You can keep up with all the latest news about the event at the 16:15 Charity Run Facebook page.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with Craig or Michelle, in-person or via email at stepforwardwithlewis@gmail.com, including if you would like to pay your £10 to enter  in another way rather than via the fundraising page. Payment on the day will be accepted.
