New Year, New Lockdown.
If 2021 has got you thinking ‘welcome to this year, same as the last year’ then you might very well have a point.
The coronavirus pandemic has left us all in lockdown again, with the various joys of home schooling, closed pubs and shops, and – most sadly for us here at Step Forward With Lewis – no group exercise.
However, this group doesn’t include the words ‘Step Forward’ in it’s title for no reason.
Despite the fresh restrictions we’re determined to offer everyone a wide variety of ways to keep fit and healthy.
The very best personal training
Fortunately, one thing the government’s latest rules do not prevent is one-to-one exercise outdoors.
That means we are able to offer personal training, with Michelle having recently passed her Level 3 PT qualification.
This means we can provide the very best training sessions available and create specific programmes to fit around your lifestyle, goals and time.

Zoom towards a fitter you!
And that’s not all we’re offering. If you are still yearning for group sessions, we’ve taken Step Forward With Lewis online.
Over the lockdown period – and ideally beyond – we’ll be putting on Zoom workout sessions.
These include sessions such as Tins or Dumbbells and our Fancy Glow Workout (think sweaty fancy dress!).
For more information on all our online sessions visit our Upcoming Events page at www.stepfowardwithlewis.com
Back to Skool!
While most of the country is being told not to go to school, we’re on our way in – virtually of course!
Step Forward With Lewis has joined forces with Standens Barn to put on fitness classes for the kids.
Eat your heart out, Joe Wicks!
In other news, our inspirational Running Tales podcast will be returning on Friday, January 14 so keep an eye out for that, while we are also planning a number of virtual races including a challenge for those of you brave enough to think you might be able to hit the 1,000 mark this year (whether that be miles, kilometres or minutes).
What a way to start the New Year…
What do you get when you cross a dragon, a unicorn and the first day of the New Year?
Hopefully, a lot of fun for the kids – and some adults too!
Michelle and Claire – with the help of some inflatable costumes – took to the streets of Hardingstone to give the residents a laugh.
If it’s not too late yet… Happy New Year everyone!!
- We hope you enjoy this blog, but from this week we will also have a weekly newsletter which will include all our sessions for the following week, the latest news and details of any virtual runs or new merchandise.
