Ghosts. Goblins. Frankenstein and Dracula. Witches and pumpkins. Black cats and Step Forward With Lewis virtual runs.

Yes, all that is great about Halloween is back again.

And we’ve got not one but TWO spook-tacular virtual challenges for you in October – ready for those medals to arrive in time for All Hallows Eve.

Some of the proceeds from both virtual runs will go to Team Daisy, a charity which raises money for a wide variety of causes in memory of Daisy Chalmers.

What are the challenges?

Our main Halloween challenge is to run, walk or travel in your wheelchair a total of either 31 miles or 31kms across the month.

If you complete this virtual race you will get one of our Trick Or Treat medals, as pictured above.

If you’re feeling particularly brave, you can do this in one gruelling chunk or maybe break it down in to as many different ones as you see fit.

It’s really entirely up to you – pick your challenge, smash it out the park and pick up our funky medal!

We have a grand total of 50 medals available for this very special challenge, so please spread the word far and wide.

We also have a limited number of entries available for our Halloween Pumpkin challenge.

To earn this medal, you simply need to complete 5km in October.

As ever, we don’t insist on seeing proof – we’re trusting souls and you’d only be cheating yourselves! – but if can let us know when you’ve finished, or perhaps send us some pictures to share on our social media channels, that’s be great.

Our email is stepforwardwithlewis@gmail.com

What is Team Daisy?

On October 11th 2018, at 7am, Daisy Chalmers, was born in the Snowdrop Suite at Northampton General Hospital. Despite being only 19 weeks and 5 days old, Daisy left her family with such special memories of her brief life.

They were able to hold her in their arms and share their love for her – love which continues and will do forever.

Throughout the painful journey, both before and after the birth, Daisy’s family were supported by so many good people. Since Daisy’s passing, they have worked tirelessly to raise funds for local and national charities and are continuing to run events.

As a family, they made a promise to live their lives as a legacy to Daisy and try to help other families who find themselves in a similar situation or people in need. Since the inception of TeamDaisy, they have raised almost £15,000 in her name.
