Last year, we raised £150 for The Lewis Foundation through our December virtual run – and now we’d love to be able to give them even more!
This amazing Northampton charity, which works to source, package and hand deliver free gifts and support packs to adult cancer patients in hospital every week.
One time that is really massive for them is Christmas, and in 2020 the money you raised helped The Lewis Foundation create five special festive boxes for patients at a cost of £30 each.
Our November 2021 virtual race will again see £5 from each entry, costing £10 in all, go towards the Foundation.
This year the amount of each box, which contains items like puzzle books, hand cream and sweets, has gone up to £35 each so it’d be great if we could at least match last year’s effort by digging even deeper this time round.
Of course, as ever with our virtual challenges, it’s all about getting out, keeping fit and earning yourself some bling as well.
What is the challenge?
Our November challenge is to run, walk or travel in your wheelchair a total of 20 miles or 20km across the month.
If you complete this virtual race you will get one of our medals, as pictured above.
You can do this in one go or maybe break it down in to as many different ones as you see fit.
It’s really entirely up to you – pick your challenge, smash it out the park and pick up our funky medal!
As ever, we don’t insist on seeing proof – we’re trusting souls and you’d only be cheating yourselves! – but if can let us know when you’ve finished, or perhaps send us some pictures to share on our social media channels, that’d be great.

What is The Lewis Foundation?
The Lewis Foundation sources, packages and hand delivers free gifts and support packs to adult cancer patients in hospital every week – items they might find difficult to buy themselves or simply cannot afford.
It can be a sad, frightening and lonely experience for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, and for many people in hospital, the charity’s volunteers are people’s only regular visitors.
