With the coronavirus pandemic meaning there are still no ‘real’ races to get involved in, we at Step Forward With Lewis have decided to put on two more Virtual Races to help you keep your motivation up.

*** THIS RACE IS NOW SOLD OUT ***

Our first race, to take place throughout March, will see part of any proceeds going to the Breast Friends Northamptonshire charity.

Breast Friends is a support group run by women who have been through a breast cancer diagnosis.

You can read about our second challenge, which will help raise money for the RSPCA in Northamptonshire, by clicking this link.

What’s the challenge?

Breast Friends Northamptonshire

In order to get hold of your medal, you will need to complete 5km every week throughout March.

We know there are four-and-a-half weeks in the month, but we’re willing to let you have a half weeks rest so the aim is to complete a total of 20kms.

As with all of our challenges there is no set way to do it… we don’t care if you run, walk, wheel or hop your way to 20k.

Equally, we don’t need you to send us proof that you’ve finished the challenge (you’re only cheating yourself, and besides, we trust you!). That said, we’d love to see pictures, Strava maps, etc of your runs so we can celebrate your success on this website.

How do I enter?

Entry costs £12 (plus £2 postage/packaging) and you’ll get one of our medals in return.

£5 of your entry fee will go to Breast Friends Northamptonshire.

There are two ways to enter:

What is Breast Friends Northamptonshire?

Run by women who have been through a breast cancer diagnosis, Breast Friends Northamptonshire is a support group based in the county which helps people affected by the disease.

Leonie Heard

Leonie Heard founded Breast Friends Northamptonshire

Headed up by Leonie Heard (listen to her incredible story on our Running Tales Podcast episode with her), who started the charity along with two other ladies who were also undergoing breast cancer treatment during 2017, the group’s aim is to promote preventive measures and to be a peer group for people undergoing breast cancer treatment and aftercare in Northamptonshire and the surrounding regions.

Alongside Leonie are a team of trustees who help to work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the charity and a committee of members who run workshops, day trips and coffee mornings.

In short, they’re amazing!
