Thirty days has September, April, June and November.

All the rest have 31… let’s not even get started with February! The point is that, along with a fair few other months, May has 31 days.

So we’ve decided to make that part of our latest virtual challenge… read on to find out how!

More importantly, we’ll be putting some of the proceeds from the event towards the Macmillan Nurses charity.

What’s the challenge?

We’re going with something slightly different for May.

Rather than setting you a prescribed distance to aim at, the idea is to challenge yourself to ’31 Your Way’.

So throughout the month, you could do 31 miles (all in one go if you’re feeling brave, or in as many chunks as you like), 31 minutes or 31 hours of running or walking, perhaps you fancy doing 31 press-ups or sit-ups every day or in total over the month.

It’s really entirely up to you – pick your challenge, smash it out the park and pick up our funky medal!

How do I enter?

Entry costs £12 (plus £2 postage/packaging) and you’ll get one of our medals in return.

£5 of your entry fee will go to Macmillan Nurses.

There are two ways to enter:

  • Fill out the below form including your payment details:

  • Or email us with your contact details – name, phone number and address – at stepforwardwithlewis@gmail.com and we’ll reply with details of how to pay via BACS.

There are a limited number of places so make sure you get in there quickly!

What are Macmillan Nurses?

Macmillan nurses are specialist cancer nurses who can help people understand their treatment options and support them through their cancer experience.

Some Macmillan nurses are based at the hospital. They are experts in certain types of cancer and are called clinical nurse specialist. They give people information about the type of cancer they have, treatment options and possible side effects.

Such nurses will have ‘Macmillan’ in their job title if their post has been funded by Macmillan – which shows exactly where your money is going!

Other Macmillan nurses specialise in certain areas, such as a Macmillan chemotherapy nurse or a Macmillan lymphoedema nurse.
