OUR RUNNING SESSIONS

Get fitter, get faster and have lots of fun!

We run a variety of running sessions throughout the week, with all levels and abilities welcomed.

We offer hill and Fartlek (speed play) sessions with an emphasis on fun in a relaxed environment, as well as getting fitter and faster whatever your goals are. Regular club runs are also available, catering for a range of abilities.

In all we have four run leaders within Step Forward With Lewis, and Michelle is a fully qualified running coach.

There is a £2 fee for each session and people can block book if they want.

Carole – wheelchair racer

I have attended Michelle’s Step forward with Lewis running group at both the Hill training and farklek sessions. Being a wheelchair racer she has made the sessions suitable so that I can join in as well as runners. These sessions have helped me with my overall training and Inclusive. Despite living 22 miles away it is well worth traveling to take part in the sessions. I find the mixture of abilities and inclusion great as I am treated like any of the runners. Michelle is very enthusiastic towards helping every member to achieve their potential. The group are very friendly and welcoming to all.

Step Forward with Lewis is a very welcoming group that meets a [few times] a week to do ‘Fartlek’ and ‘Hill Sessions’ which have improved my running! The group is run by Michelle Lewis, who is fantastic at helping you find stamina you never knew you had! All levels/abilities are welcomed and the group caters for disabilities too – I am profoundly deaf! Michelle has learnt some basic signs to use as hand signals to let me know when to do different things (fast/slow etc) I have met some really lovely people through the group and thoroughly enjoy attending the sessions – I attend twice a week! Come along and give it a go!

I signed up with Michelle recently after she qualified as a PT … she has helped me get my mojo back to exercise again ! She is a motivator and her sessions are fun and engaging. I saw results after the first month and Michelle was there every step of the way … step forward with Lewis 😊 Michelle focuses on your wellbeing not just fitness, incorporates yoga, stretching , cardio & strength plus help with nutrition and mental health.
