One of the most important parts of getting and keeping fit and healthy is to vary your workouts.
It’s something we really value at Step Forward With Lewis.
With that in mind, and with the approach of winter bringing some enforced safety changes, we’ve had a review of our fitness and running sessions.
It’s also been a chance to look at some of the charging options we offer.
First up, we know you all love our hill sessions, but unfortunately – as with every year – the darkening nights and likely slippery conditions due to rain and leaves on the ground means we will have to put them on hold for the winter.
Don’t worry Hill Demons, you’ll be conquering Back Lane in the summer before you know it!
As such, we are introducing two new fitness sessions on Mondays – a strength and cardio class at 6pm, and a posture and stretching class at 7pm.
We will also be starting strength and cardio classes at 7.30am on Tuesday’s and 9.30am on Wednesday’s for you early morning exercise bunnies.
Our Wednesday evening running sessions will continue, but with Michelle having now qualified as a Running Coach we’ll be doing a wider variety of training.
Expect future sessions to range from training runs (don’t panic we’ll always arrange our sessions so the slowest and fastest people can run together, whether that’s through re-grouping or using more than one run leader) to Fartlek or drills and targeted training aimed at improving your running technique.
As usual, we’ll cater for wheelchair athletes and deaf or visually impaired runners.
In terms of pricing, all individual fitness sessions will remain at £5 each, and running sessions will remain at £2 each.
However, we’d like to make our offer more flexible and hopefully encourage people to come to more sessions.
As such, we’ll be giving people the opportunity to do both Monday sessions for a combined £8 fee.
We will also be offering the chance to block buy sessions across the month.
For £15 you can come along to any four sessions in a month – that’s a £5 saving.
Please be aware though if you are unable to attend any of the sessions in that month period, there will not be any refunds and sessions will not be carried over into the following month.
All of the above changes will start from October 1, 2021.
